Make these sticky wings as a simple snack to nibble on before dinner is ready, or serve them as a part of a main meal with French fries, or go for healthier options like a garden salad, fresh vegetables or even coleslaw.

Yields: Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp ginger
1/2 cup soya sauce
1/2 cup apricot jam
180ml Sedgwick’s Old Brown
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp Chinese five spice (optional)
1kg chicken wings
Directions
1Combine all the ingredients except the chicken in a medium-sized bowl.
2Add the chicken wings and leave them to marinate for 10 minutes.
3Heat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Shake off the excess marinade and place the wings on the baking tray. Reserve the marinade. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until golden brown and sticky, baste twice in between with the marinade.
