Is a built-in fireplace the same as an insert?
The terms can overlap. Check how the exact appliance is designed to fit, and use its installation drawing to confirm the recess, surround and connection requirements.
Can I fit a new fireplace into my existing opening?
Possibly, but have the opening, support, chimney or flue and ventilation assessed first. Compare the exact unit’s body and trim dimensions, clearances and access requirements before ordering.
Do built-in fireplaces come in wood and gas?
Yes. This range includes closed-combustion wood inserts, open wood fireboxes and gas fireplaces. Use the fuel and fire style filters to narrow your shortlist.
Are open wood fireboxes and closed-combustion inserts fitted the same way?
Do not assume so. They can have different recess, air supply, flue and clearance requirements. Follow the instructions for the exact appliance.
Can I choose a double-sided built-in fireplace?
Yes. There are wood and gas double-sided models in this range. Plan the opening, viewing sides and access using the drawing for your chosen version.
Does a vent-free gas model need an installation assessment?
Yes. A suitable registered gas installer should confirm the gas configuration, room suitability, ventilation and installation requirements for the exact model.
Are the frame, flue and fitting included?
Included items vary by product and selected options. Check the package before ordering. Additional components, gas work, flue work and installation may be separate. We sell and deliver fireplaces; we do not install them.
Do you deliver built-in fireplaces across South Africa?
Yes. Confirm the delivery cost, timing, availability and receiving arrangements for your product and address before scheduling your installation. Most built-in fireplaces are made or ordered for you, so delivery usually takes 10–12 working days.
Can I return a fireplace?
Yes. If a fireplace does not suit you, you can return it within 14 days. The Terms give the conditions.
