The gas ignition burner lights the charcoal for you. Once the coals are going, switch it off and braai over the coals as usual. Keep an eye on the heat with the lid thermometer, set the removable LCD cook timer and prep on the side table. When you are done, the stainless-steel One-Touch cleaning system and the ash catcher handle the ash.

Everyone's hungry.

Chicken on the grate, a salad on the table and the coals doing the slow work. Prep beside the grill on the work table, check the heat on the lid thermometer and set the timer, so you can join everyone at the table between turns.

The brick wall, lemon tree, plants, table, chairs, food, chopping board and tongs are not included. Keep combustible materials at least 600 mm from the grill.

THE FIRE

Coals lit without the fuss.

The gas ignition burner lights the charcoal. Once the coals have caught, switch the gas off and cook over charcoal as usual. Ask us about the gas supply for the igniter before your first fire.

THE PREP

Everything within reach.

The integrated side table gives you room to prep, the tool holder keeps your tools at hand and the CharBin stores your charcoal. The lid holder gives the hot lid a place to rest while you turn the food.

THE CLEAN-UP

Ash has its own place.

A stainless-steel One-Touch cleaning system and an ash catcher sit under the bowl, and the vent is rust-proof. The porcelain-enamelled bowl and lid carry Weber's 10-year cover against rust through or burn through.

What is included?

The Performer Deluxe on its cart, with the frame, bottom rack, wheels and locking castors. It comes with the GBS stainless-steel hinged cooking grate, two Char-Baskets, the ash catcher, the stainless-steel One-Touch cleaning system, the built-in lid thermometer, the integrated side table and tool holder, the CharBin, the removable LCD cook timer and the lid holder. Charcoal is not included.

Which fuel does it use?

Charcoal. The gas ignition burner is there only to light the charcoal: switch it off once the coals are lit, then braai over the coals.

Do I need gas for the igniter?

Yes, the gas ignition burner needs a gas supply to light the coals. Ask us which gas supply suits the igniter before your first fire.

What size is the cooking grate?

The Performer Deluxe is Weber's 57 cm size, with the Gourmet BBQ System (GBS) stainless-steel hinged cooking grate.

How much space do I need?

With the lid closed, it is 1,219 mm wide, 762 mm deep and 1,105 mm high. Keep combustible materials at least 600 mm from the top, bottom, back and sides of the grill, and do not use it under any overhead combustible structure.

Can I use it on a covered patio or indoors?

Not indoors: it is for outdoor use only. On a covered patio, check what is above it: do not use it under an overhead combustible structure, and combustible materials must stay at least 600 mm from the top, bottom, back and sides of the grill. How do I clean out the ash?

The stainless-steel One-Touch cleaning system and the ash catcher look after the ash, and the vent is rust-proof.

Can I move it around?

Yes. It stands on its wheels and locking castors, so you can roll it into place and lock it there. It weighs 45.8 kg.

What does the guarantee cover?

The bowl and lid have a 10-year Weber warranty against rust through or burn through, the One-Touch cleaning system has 5 years against rust through or burn through, the plastic components have 5 years (not fading or discoloration) and all the other parts have 2 years. Normal use and the warranty's exclusions apply. Ask us for the full terms.
