WhatsApp UsTHE GRANDE, IN ABSTRACT MOSAIC
Give the Grande a gentle first fire, then build the heat with the door and chimney choke open until the oven reaches pizza heat. Dry hardwood does the work, the lifter slides pizzas in and out, and the coal rake keeps the fire where you want it. The Abstract mosaic makes it the centrepiece of the patio.
FRIENDS, FIRE AND PIZZA
The fire is going, the thermometer has climbed and the first pizza is already on the table. Someone gets the next one in while friends talk at the long table under the lights. With room for two large or three regular pizzas at a time, there is always another one on the way.
The black chimney is an optional extra. The brick plinth, firewood, long table, fairy lights and food are not included.
GOOD PIZZA STARTS WITH THE FIRE
THE FUEL
Burn dry hardwood. Never burn laminated, painted or treated wood, and do not heat the oven with charcoal. Keep the chimney choke and the door open while the oven heats up.
THE HEAT
Al Fresco recommends 280–300 °C for pizza and no more than 350 °C, and the thermometer that comes with the oven lets you keep an eye on the heat. Before the very first bake, burn a small fire for two hours and keep the oven below 200 °C.
THE STAND
The mobile stand is an optional extra, and a slide-out stainless-steel preparation table is available for it. Lock the wheels before you fit the chimney or use the table, and take the chimney off before you roll the oven over uneven ground.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the base, the oven and the chimney together.
The oven is 700 mm high to the top of its neck and weighs 120 kg. Ask us to confirm its outside width and depth before you build a base. The chimney’s 800 mm is the part’s length, not the height it adds. Have an independent installer check the base and safe clearances.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read the instruction manual before you light the first fire.

No, the stand is optional. Without it, set the oven on a base of your own that can carry its 120 kg. On the stand, lock the wheels before you fit the chimney or use the table, and take the chimney off before you move the oven over uneven ground.

Yes. A standard stainless-steel chimney comes with the oven, with a nominal length of 800 mm: that is the length of the part, not the height it adds once fitted. The black heat-treated chimney in the photo is an optional extra; ask us about it.
