THE CLEAN-UP
Grids that go in the dishwasher.
The stainless-steel grids lift out to soak or go in the dishwasher once the grill is cool. After each braai, run the burners on high for five minutes to burn off excess fat.
THE FIT
In a counter or your old braai.
Fit it into a lined recess in an outdoor counter, or use it to turn a built-in wood or charcoal braai into a gas braai. It can also stand on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface.

For a built-in recess, allow 5 mm on each side of the 575 mm grill and line the recess with fire-retardant material. These are product dimensions, not a full cabinet design; have a registered gas installer check the opening, ventilation and access.

What is included?
The three-burner Sizzler grill in your chosen steel grade, the cooking grid, hot rocks or radiants, a stainless-steel drip tray and a flat dust cover. The cooking dome, rotisserie, stand and gas installation are separate.
Can I build it into a counter or my old braai?
Yes. The Sizzler is a retrofittable gas grill. Fit it into a recess in an outdoor counter, or use it to replace the grates of a built-in wood or charcoal braai. Line the recess with fire-retardant material, such as a ceramic blanket or vermiculite board. It can also stand on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface.
How big a recess do I need?
Allow 5 mm on each side of the 575 mm grill: a recess at least 585 mm wide. The grill is 490 mm deep and 220 mm high overall; the body itself is 210 mm high. These are product sizes, not a full cabinet design. Have a registered gas installer confirm the opening, ventilation and access.
How much cooking space is there?
The usable grid is 519 × 350 mm. The technical opening around it is 525 × 350 mm, so the two measurements are not the same. Each of the three burners has its own control, so you can heat only the part of the grid you need.
Which gas does it use?
LPG and Natural Gas versions are available on request. Ask us to confirm the gas type before you order. On high, each burner uses up to 0.28 kg of LPG an hour: up to 0.84 kg an hour with all three lit. A registered gas installer must connect it and issue a Certificate of Compliance. Gas installer information is available from SAQCC Gas (saqccgas.co.za).
Hot rocks or radiants: which do I get?
The grill comes with hot rocks or radiants. Ask us to confirm your preferred setup before you order. If you use hot rocks, spread only the supplied rocks in a single, even layer.
Is the dust cover a cooking lid?
No. It is a loose, flat cover for when the grill is cool. Lift it off before you light the grill, and never put it back while the grill is on or still hot. For cooking with a lid, add a cooking dome.
Which extras fit this grill?
Chad-O-Chef makes a cooking dome, a rotisserie dome with spit and motor, a stir-fry pan, a stand and an extractor system for the Sizzler range. All are sold separately. We also sell this grill as a package with its matching rotisserie dome.
Can I use wood or charcoal?
Not on its own. This is a gas grill, so do not burn wood or charcoal in it. The separate Sizzler Hybrid attachment adds wood or charcoal cooking to the 3-burner model.
Can I use it indoors?
No. Use the Sizzler outdoors, or on a patio with at least one open side. Where smoke needs to be drawn away, we recommend an extractor hood, sold separately.
What does the guarantee cover?
Sizzler gas grills have a three-year Chad-O-Chef guarantee. Terms and conditions apply; ask us for the full guarantee terms. To keep it in good order, have it serviced by a qualified person once a year.
