One lid over both.
Light one three-burner grill for a quiet supper, or both when the whole family comes round. Each grill works on its own, lights with a piezo ignition and has a flame failure device. When the plates are cleared, the 6 mm grids go in the dishwasher, and the hinged stainless-steel lid closes over the hob.

GOLDEN HOUR ON THE DECK

Chicken on the other.
The sun sinks behind the trees, steaks sear on one grill and chicken takes its time on the other. The guests have found their seats and the wine is poured. With two grills that work on their own, everything lands on the plates together.
The granite counter, stone cabinet, deck, furniture, food and tableware are not included. Have a registered gas installer connect the gas and plan the cabinet ventilation.

THE AIR
Fresh air under the counter.
The cabinet below needs crossflow ventilation, with 100 cm² of free area for each burner. With the specified installation and ventilation, the hob can go indoors or outdoors.
THE GAS
LPG as standard.
The burners run on LPG as standard. Natural gas is available on request, but it must be specified before supply, so tell us which gas you have before you order. A registered gas installer must connect the hob.

Plan the cut-out, the lid and the cabinet together.
The counter cut-out is 1,500 × 430 mm. Below the rim the hob needs 220 mm with its drip tray, and the open lid rises 450 mm above it. Have your installer check the actual unit and the clearances.

What is included?
The 6-burner hob grill, built as two three-burner grills that work on their own, with its grids, a hinged stainless-steel lid, the stainless-steel vent cover, a stainless-steel drip tray and a dust cover. The counter, the cabinet and its ventilation, the gas connection and the installation are not included.
Can I use one side only?
Yes. The hob is two three-burner grills that work independently, so light one side for a small meal or both for a crowd. Each side has a usable cooking area of 519 × 350 mm.
Which gas does it use?
LPG as standard, lit with a piezo ignition. Natural gas is available on request, but it must be specified before supply, so tell us which gas you have before you order. A registered gas installer must connect the hob.
Can it go indoors?
Yes, with the specified installation and ventilation. The hob has a flame failure device, and the cabinet below needs crossflow ventilation with 100 cm² of free area per burner. It is for domestic use only. Your registered gas installer checks the space and the ventilation.
How much cooking space is there?
Each grill has a usable cooking area of 519 × 350 mm, inside an opening of 525 × 350 mm. The grids are 6 mm stainless-steel bar and dishwasher safe.
What cut-out do I need?
The counter cut-out is 1,500 mm wide and 430 mm deep, and the rim measures 1,550 × 450 mm. Below the rim, the hob needs 220 mm with the drip tray: 190 mm of casing and 30 mm of tray. Keep wooden sides and backs at least 100 mm from the body. Have your installer check the actual unit before cutting.
What do the counter and cabinet need?
A non-combustible countertop, a fire-retardant lining inside the cabinet, crossflow ventilation and access to the drip tray. The manual shows the full installation.
How does the lid work?
The hinged stainless-steel lid swings open through 180° and stands 450 mm above the rim when open. The cover over the controls opens through 115°. Allow for both when you plan the space above and around the hob.
Which steel grade should I choose?
Choose it on the page. Chad-O-Chef makes the inland grade in 304 stainless steel and the coastal grade in 316 stainless steel. If you are not sure which suits your spot, ask us before you order.
What does the guarantee cover?
The braai has a 3-year Chad-O-Chef guarantee from the date of purchase, subject to its terms. It covers working components and manufacturing defects. Rust or cosmetic wear, misuse and incorrect installation are not covered. To claim, you need your proof of purchase and the applicable compliance certificate. Chad-O-Chef also keeps spares available for its own products for life.
