MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME OUTSIDE
Two ways to make a meal.
Start with a quick gas lunch, or take your time around a wood fire. On a long Saturday, use both: steaks on the gas while a potjie simmers over the coals.
Surround, chimney, counters, gas supply, furniture and food are not included. Arrange gas fitting with a registered gas installer and have an independent installer confirm the support and installation.

The charcoal section on the right has an ember maker, a height-adjustable 550 × 460 mm grid and a potjie hook. Keep wood and charcoal in this section only, never on the gas burners.

Removable ash drawers sit beneath the charcoal section. Empty them once the ash is cold.

Plan the body, frame and gather together.
Body and gather heights add to 1,355 mm before the flue, and the finished surround hides the gather. These sizes are for this three-burner model and are not a building opening; have your installer check the actual unit and safe clearances.

What is included?
The three-burner deep flat-top gas grill and the charcoal table braai section, with a height-adjustable grid, an ember maker, removable ash drawers, top and bottom doors, a potjie hook, a light fitting, insulation material and touch-up paint. Flue parts, the cowl and the gas supply are not included.
Which fuel goes where?
Gas in the three-burner grill on the left. Wood or charcoal only in the charcoal section on the right, where the ember maker is. Never put solid fuel on the gas burners.
How big are the two cooking sections?
The gas insert is 660 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 222 mm high. The charcoal section is 820 mm wide, 620 mm deep and 570 mm high, with a 550 × 460 mm height-adjustable grid.
Who connects the gas?
Arrange gas work with a registered gas installer. They confirm the supply, regulator, ventilation and pipe route for the three-burner grill. We provide product and configuration quotes; we do not install.
Is the flue included?
No. Flue pipes and the cowl are sold separately. The flue outlet is 600 × 485 mm. Send a photo and measurements for a flue and configuration quote.
How much space do I need?
The body is 1,540 mm wide, 645 mm deep and 1,055 mm high, and the gather rises 300 mm above it. The front frame is 1,590 mm wide and 1,085 mm high, and the door projects 510 mm when open. These sizes are for the three-burner model. Have your installer check the actual unit, the opening and safe clearances before building.
Can it be installed indoors?
Homefires lists its built-in braais for indoor or outdoor installation. Indoors or out, the braai needs suitable masonry support, a correctly designed chimney and the right ventilation for the gas grill. Have a registered gas installer and an independent installer confirm the location.
How do I look after the finish?
Touch-up paint comes with the braai, so you can refresh small marks on the black mild steel. Keep the braai dry and empty cold ash regularly.
What does the guarantee cover?
Homefires guarantees the firebox for 15 years from the date of purchase against faulty workmanship or materials, including warping, when the fire is made in the ember maker or the ash pan. The grid, ember maker, ash pan and other replaceable parts are not covered, and neither is rust from missing maintenance, misuse or water leaks, or damage from incorrect installation. Keep the braai painted and maintained. Ask us for the full terms.
