THE AM27, UP CLOSE

Cast iron, with a classic face.

The AM27 is a full cast-iron, closed combustion stove with an arched door, fanlight bars across the glass and two round air controls below it, all on shaped cast feet. A riddling grate and an ash pan keep the fire bed clear, and the flue can leave from the top or the back. At 168 kg, plan the move in advance.

MORNINGS IN THE KITCHEN

Coffee on, fire lit, the day can start.

Early sun across the terracotta tiles, coffee poured at the farm table and the AM27 already glowing by the wall. A rusk for dunking, a slow start and a warm kitchen for whoever wanders in next.

The flue pipe, hearth plate, table, chairs, kitchen units, plants and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.

BEFORE THE FIRST FIRE

Heat, grate and flue, sorted.

THE HEAT

12 kW nominal, up to 14 kW.

The AM27 gives 12 kW nominal and up to 14 kW maximum heat output; the 14 kW in its name is the maximum. The Output Calculator uses 13 kW, the middle of the two, to compare with your room.

THE GRATE

Riddle, then empty the pan.

The riddling grate drops the ash into the ash pan and keeps the fire bed clear. Empty the pan once the ash is completely cold.

THE FLUE

On top or at the back.

The flue connects on top or at the rear, for a 150 mm nominal flue pipe. We recommend a 146 to 150 mm appliance adaptor with 5 mm rope for the connection. Ask us to add it to your flue quote.

GOOD TO KNOW

Plan your setup.

Ask us for the installation details before you plan the hearth and the flue.

What is included?

The WIKING AM27 cast-iron stove, with its riddling grate and ash pan. Flue pipes, the flue adaptor, accessories and installation are not included: we quote the flue parts for your setup.

Which fuel does it burn?

The AM27 is a multifuel stove. Ask us which fuels are approved for it before your first fire, and burn only those.

How much heat does it give?

12 kW nominal and up to 14 kW maximum heat output. The 14 kW in its name is the maximum. The Output Calculator uses 13 kW, the middle of the two. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.

Where does the flue connect?

On top or at the rear, for a 150 mm nominal flue pipe. Have an independent installer choose the outlet and plan the flue route, height and support for your building.

Which flue adaptor does it need?

We recommend a 146 to 150 mm appliance adaptor, sealed with 5 mm rope, to join the stove to a 150 mm flue. Your installer must follow the unit's installation manual. It is not part of the stove: ask us to include it in your flue quote.

Is the flue included?

No. Chimney flue pipes and accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote, and we will help you choose the right parts.

How much space does it need?

The AM27 is 700 mm wide, 465 mm deep and 725 mm high overall. Ask us for the installation clearances and the hearth size before you build, and have your installer apply them with your local requirements.

How heavy is it?

The net weight is 168 kg. Plan how it will be moved into place, and have your installer check that the floor and the hearth can carry it.

How does the riddling grate work?

Riddle the grate to drop the ash into the ash pan and keep the fire bed clear. Empty the ash pan only once the ash is completely cold.

What does the guarantee cover?

Ask us for the guarantee terms before you order. We confirm the terms that apply to this stove with Home Fires.

Can you help with my setup?

Yes. Send a photo and your room measurements for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
