The Vega is Jetmaster's freestanding slow-combustion stove in mild steel. Vermiculite boards line the firebox, a cast grid holds the fire and the ash pan comes out when it is time to clean. The door is lightly sandblasted and the outer body smooth and heavy-duty. Burn wood or charcoal, keep the poker close and settle in.

A cold afternoon, a stack of books and nowhere you need to be. The Vega stands on its own in the room, warming the space while the flames do their thing behind the door. Add a log, pull up a chair and let the afternoon run long.

The flue pipe is an option. The hearth plate, couch, tables, books, plants, rug and artwork are not included.

THE FIREBOX

Easy to clean out.

Vermiculite boards line the firebox and the cast grid holds the fire. The ash pan is removable, so clearing out the ash is a quick job once it is cold.

THE FLUE

Check the flue first.

Jetmaster's flue comes in separate 1,200 mm sections. Send us a photo and measurements, and we confirm the flue size and parts for your room before you order.

What is included?

The Jetmaster Vega freestanding stove: a mild-steel body with a lightly sandblasted door, vermiculite inner boards, a cast grid and a removable ash pan. A poker and the installation manual come with it. The flue pipe and cowl are options on this page, sold separately.

How much heat does it give?

Jetmaster lists a heat output of 15 kW for the Vega, without saying whether that is nominal or maximum. Our Output Calculator uses 15 kW. Jetmaster also lists a heating area of 190 m². Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.

Which fuel can I burn?

Wood or charcoal, as Jetmaster lists it. Ask us before you plan to burn anything else.

Is the flue included?

No. The flue pipe and cowl are options on this page, sold separately. Ask us to confirm the flue size for the current Vega before you order; we check it with Jetmaster. A separate flue section is 1,200 mm long.

How much space do I need?

The Vega is 930 mm wide. Ask us for the depth and height of the current unit before you plan a tight fit; we confirm them with Jetmaster. These are product dimensions. Your installer checks the actual unit, the hearth and the safe clearances.

Is it freestanding or built-in?

Freestanding. The Vega stands on its own in the room; it is not built into a chimney breast.

How do I clean it?

Let the fire burn out and the ash cool, then take out the removable ash pan and empty it. The cast grid holds the fire, and vermiculite boards line the firebox.

What does the guarantee cover?

Jetmaster's current brochure shows a five-year warranty for the Vega. Glass and corrosion are excluded. Ask us for the full terms.
