No. Use a unit approved by its manufacturer for the intended fitting method, and follow its specified clearances, support and ventilation requirements. A freestanding trolley braai is not automatically suitable for a fitted installation.

A drop-in hob sits in a specified countertop cut-out. A countertop grill is a separate cooking unit placed on a suitable surface, with any recessing or fitting options governed by its own instructions.

Compare two or three burners for smaller meals, four for a wider family-cooking choice, and five or six for a larger spread. Check the actual cooking area and features as well as the burner number.

It depends on the model and selected package. Check the included items and compatible accessories on the product page. A protective hob cover is not necessarily designed for cooking under.

Use the manufacturer’s fitting drawing for the exact model and configuration. Confirm the cut-out, unit dimensions, clearances and ventilation before building; the burner count or model name is not an opening measurement.
