The stainless-steel rim sits on the worktop and the grill body fits below it, with four controls beside the cooking area under their own cover. A flame-failure safety valve adds peace of mind. Fold the hinged cover right back while you cook, then close it over the cool grill, and the counter looks neat and tidy again.

Gas only: never burn wood or charcoal in it. Ask us before you order a natural gas model.

How much room is needed below the worktop?

Allow for a 220 mm drop below the top: 190 mm for the body and 30 mm for the drip tray. Leave access to remove the tray. Keep wooden cabinet parts at least 100 mm from the body at the front, sides and rear.

How much room do the covers need?

The open main cover rises 450 mm above the worktop. It folds back through 180°. The control cover opens through 115°. Keep the flat cover open while the grill is on or hot.

How do I position the vent cover?

The included cover is 950 × 175 mm. Its fixing holes are 96 mm apart, with their centres 35 mm from the top. Provide at least 400 cm² of free ventilation area. Keep the ventilation openings clear.

Can I remove the grids for cleaning?

Yes. Remove the cooking grids for cleaning when the grill is cool. The grid is 692 × 350 mm. The cooking surface opening is 700 × 350 mm.

Can I use this braai indoors?

Yes. It suits kitchens and closed patios as well as outdoor counters. Use a registered gas installer. Indoor installations need an extractor hood and suitable ventilation. The cabinet needs ventilation and access to the drip tray.

Can I cook with the flat cover closed?

No. Keep the flat cover open while the grill is on or hot. Close it only when the grill is cool.

Is a cooking dome included?

No. The hinged flat cover is included. Select a cooking dome above if you want one. Choose a dome with rotisserie to add the spit and motor.

Which gas type does it use?

The HGG430 uses LP gas. Natural Gas models are available on request. Ask us before ordering a Natural Gas unit. Do not convert the appliance yourself.

What does coastal grade 316 mean?

Grade 316 stainless steel gives greater resistance to corrosion in coastal areas. Clean and dry the steel regularly.

What is the guarantee?

The guarantee is three years. Terms and conditions apply. Ask us for the full guarantee terms.

Can I use wood or charcoal?

No. This Hob Grill uses gas only. Do not burn wood or charcoal in it.

Can you help with my setup?

Send a photo and measurements of your counter for a product quote and a visual preview. The Hob is supplied ready for installation; a registered gas installer must fit and connect it. Gas installer information is available from SAQCC Gas (saqccgas.co.za). We do not provide installation services.
