THE HOUSING
Built in, with air from below.
It drops into a 1,100 × 152 mm cut-out in a non-flammable housing. The housing needs two brick-sized ventilation openings below the unit, and the two supplied vent covers finish them neatly.

WhatsApp UsTHE FLAMELINE 1210
The Flameline 1210 is a flueless gas fireplace that drops into a non-flammable housing, with only its slim rim showing. Two burners send a long line of flame over black fire glass, between four glass walls. A piezo spark lights it, an oxygen depletion pilot is part of its safety setup, and the fascia comes in brushed stainless steel or Midnight Mirror.
The housing is not included: build a non-flammable housing for the fireplace to drop into.
FRIENDS OVER, FIRE ON
The friends are over, the wine is open and nobody is in a hurry to leave. Along the stone ledge a long line of flame flickers over black fire glass, warm light for the whole room and no logs to fetch. The conversation goes on long after the plates are cleared.
The stone ledge (the housing), feature wall, couches, coffee table and décor are not included. A SAQCC Gas registered installer fits and connects the fireplace.
BEFORE YOU BUILD THE HOUSING
THE HOUSING
It drops into a 1,100 × 152 mm cut-out in a non-flammable housing. The housing needs two brick-sized ventilation openings below the unit, and the two supplied vent covers finish them neatly.
THE ROOM
Without permanent ventilation the room must be at least 220 m³. Chad-O-Chef suggests it for rooms up to 489 m³ (147 m²), depending on insulation, materials and climate. Never in a bedroom, bathroom, toilet or sauna.
THE CLEARANCES
Keep combustible material 300 mm from its sides. A non-combustible, heat-resistant wall may come as close as 100 mm behind it or beside it.
PLAN THE HOUSING
Cut the housing to the cut-out, not the rim.
The rim is 1,210 × 215 mm and the cut-out in the housing 1,100 × 152 mm. Below the rim the body reaches down 148 mm and is 132 mm deep. These are product sizes: your gas installer checks the actual unit, the housing and the clearances.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual with your gas installer before you plan the housing.
The Flameline 1210 in the finish you choose, with two burners, four glass walls, black fire glass, two vent covers and the instruction manual. The non-flammable housing, the gas supply pipework and the installation are not included.
A brushed stainless-steel or a Midnight Mirror fascia: choose yours on this page. Black fire glass is standard; ask us about clear, blue or gold fire glass before you order.
LPG or natural gas. The installation must suit your gas type, so confirm yours with us before you order. On LPG it uses at most 0.88 kg of gas an hour, and a piezo spark lights it.
Chad-O-Chef suggests it for rooms up to 489 m³ (147 m²); the right size depends on insulation, materials and climate. Without permanent ventilation the room must be at least 220 m³, and your installer calculates the ventilation for a smaller room.
Chad-O-Chef gives a maximum gas input for the Flameline 1210, not a certified heat output, so we do not list a heat output and the Output Calculator has no figure for it. Ask us, and we will help you compare it with your room.
No. It is a flueless gas fireplace, so there is no flue or chimney to build. An oxygen depletion system on the pilot (ODS, minimum 18.5% oxygen) is part of its safety setup. It must not go in a bedroom, bathroom, toilet or sauna.
It drops into a 1,100 × 152 mm cut-out in a non-flammable housing, which is not included. The housing needs two brick-sized ventilation openings below the unit, finished with the two supplied vent covers (260 × 110 mm each). A SAQCC Gas registered installer for your gas type installs and connects it.
Keep combustible material 300 mm from its sides, a combustible floor (carpet included) 100 mm away, curtains and fabric 500 mm from its sides, combustible furniture 1,000 mm in front and the ceiling 800 mm away. A non-combustible, heat-resistant wall may come to 100 mm behind it or at its sides.
The rim is 1,210 mm long and 215 mm deep, and it sits over a 1,100 × 152 mm cut-out. Below the rim the body reaches down 148 mm and is 132 mm deep. Have your installer check the actual unit before you build the housing.
Chad-O-Chef gives a two-year guarantee on the fireplace. Its terms and conditions apply; ask us for the full terms.
