How delivery works

DeliveryHow it works

Because most of our products are huge, it’s difficult for us to keep stock of all of them. For this reason, we deliver a lot of our products directly from our suppliers and manufacturers, to offer you a great price and a fresh braai and a warm fireplace.

PRIORITY DELIVERYWe will make sure you are kept in the loop at every single step of the way and we will have your order processed as a priority. Tracking number included.

FREE DELIVERYLook, it’s free but we are unable to provide an exact time or take specific delivery requests as we are at the mercy of our suppliers. We still do our best to deliver as quickly as possible and in most cases we are much quicker than the stated turn around time.

THE ENTERTAINER, UP CLOSE

Grill below.
Rotisserie above. A table in front.

The Sizzler insert puts six gas burners under the stainless-steel grids, with the rotisserie turning slowly above them. Fold the bottom door down and it becomes a handy work surface for tongs, plates and the basting brush. The light keeps the braai going long after dark, and spares are available countrywide.

WHEN THE CITY LIGHTS COME ON

The chicken turns.
The talk flows.

The sun goes down, the light comes on and a chicken turns slowly over the burners. One of you keeps an eye on the rotisserie, the other sets the table. With six burners there is room for the sides on the grid, so supper lands on the table together.

The timber cladding, counters, table, chairs, plants, food and tableware are not included. The braai is built into masonry on site: plan it with your builder and an independent installer.

A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING

Plan the draught, the gas and the light.

THE DRAUGHT

Natural or forced: choose first.

Natural draught uses a normal chimney, with no extraction fan. Forced draught connects to an extractor system, and its ducting, extractor motor and other parts are sold separately. Choose the version on the page before you build.

THE BUILD

Built in on site, in masonry.

The Entertainer must be built into masonry on site, and it cannot be retrofitted into an existing opening. It is made for outdoor use, which includes a patio with at least one open side.

THE CONNECTIONS

Gas and light, done properly.

A registered gas installer connects the Sizzler insert, which runs at 2.8 kPa on LPG. The light fitting needs an electrical connection by a qualified electrician.

GOOD TO KNOW

Plan your setup.

Read your installation manual before you plan the build.

Read the instruction manual

What is included?

The stainless-steel Entertainer box with its 6-burner Sizzler gas insert, the rotisserie, one light fitting, a stainless-steel drip tray and a stainless-steel dust cover. The chimney, the extractor parts for forced draught, the gas and electrical connections and the building work are not included.

Can I braai with wood or charcoal?

No. The box is designed for the Sizzler gas insert, and it is not suitable for wood or charcoal fires.

Which gas does it use?

Chad-O-Chef makes the Sizzler insert for LPG and for natural gas, so tell us which supply you have before you order. On LPG it runs at 2.8 kPa. A registered gas installer must connect it.

Natural or forced draught: which do I need?

Natural draught uses a normal chimney, with no extraction fan; its flue collar is 330 × 330 mm. Forced draught has a 200 × 200 mm outlet and needs extra parts, sold separately: ducting (sections 1,250 mm long, 200 × 200 mm), a mock flue, an extractor motor, and a damper or weather dome. Ask us for a quote for your setup.

How much cooking space is there?

The cooking area is 1,038 mm wide and 350 mm deep, over six burners. The grids are 6 mm stainless-steel bar and dishwasher safe, and the rotisserie turns above them.

How much space do I need?

The front frame is 1,250 mm wide and 800 mm high, with a 15 mm side tab on each side. The body behind it is 1,150 mm wide, 500 mm deep and 725 mm high. With natural draught, the top of the flue collar is 1,170 mm above the base; with forced draught, the top of the outlet is 770 mm. These are product dimensions, not a building opening.

Can I fit it into an existing braai opening?

No. The Entertainer must be built into masonry on site, and it must not be retrofitted into an existing opening. Your installer must follow the installation manual that comes with the unit. Plan the build with your builder and an independent installer.

How high should I build it?

As an estimated example, the lower lintel sits 800 mm above the floor, with a 720 mm opening above it and the cooking level about 1,020 mm up. Use it as a guide only, not as a cut-out size. Your builder works from the actual unit.

Can it go indoors?

No. It is for domestic outdoor use, and a patio works when it has at least one open side. Keep the doors open while the braai is in use or still hot.

How heavy is it?

The 6-burner Entertainer range is listed at 97 kg. The weight of your version can differ a little, so plan the lifting and the support with your builder.

What does the guarantee cover?

This braai has a 3-year Chad-O-Chef guarantee, subject to its terms. It covers working components and manufacturing defects. Rust, incorrect installation, misuse are not covered, nor the transport costs of guarantee work, and you need a valid invoice and the applicable compliance certificate to claim. Spares are available countrywide, and your local dealer can service the braai.

Can you help with my setup?

Yes. Send a photo and measurements for a product and configuration quote, including the chimney or extractor parts. Arrange installation with an independent installer, the gas with a registered gas installer and the light with a qualified electrician.
