The heavy-duty spit motor sits in its own motor box and turns the stainless-steel spit arm, so you can see to the salads while the roast cooks. The ember maker keeps fresh coals coming, the warming drawer holds the first round, and the light fitting helps once the sun goes down. Open the lower door and it makes a handy work surface.
THE ROAST IS ON
The coals are glowing, the chicken is turning and the table is set for whoever wanders in. Built into your braai room, the 1200 Super Deluxe Spit takes care of the turning, so you can take care of the people. Lunch will be ready when it is ready.
The face-brick wall, pergola, counter, table, chairs, plants and food are not included. Plan the flue, support and clearances with an independent installer.
BUILT FOR LONG SPIT DAYS
THE SPIT
Load the stainless-steel spit arm and let the heavy-duty motor do the turning over a bed of coals. The motor has its own compartment at the left of the braai, beside the fire.
THE FIRE
Burn wood in the ember maker and rake fresh coals under the spit or the 950 mm grid whenever the fire needs them. Grid lifters and a potjie holder come with it, for chops now and a potjie later.
THE ASH
Ash collects in the removable ash pan and the ash drawer. Let it cool fully before you empty it. The spade and poker come with the braai, so the tools are always at hand.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the braai, motor box and flue together.
The complete front is 1,655 mm wide, motor compartment included. Ask us for the body depth before you build. These are product dimensions, not a brick opening: leave a 20 mm expansion gap at the sides and back, and have your installer check the actual unit and safe clearances.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation, and book an electrician for the spit motor and the light.

Touch-up paint comes with the braai, so you can refresh small marks on the black finish. Let the ash cool fully before you empty the ash pan and ash drawer.
Homefires guarantees the firebox for 15 years against defective workmanship or material under normal use. Replaceable parts such as the spit motor, the grid, the ember maker and the ash pan are not covered. Ask us for the full terms.
