Build the fire in the ember maker and move the ready coals under the full-length grid as you cook. The heavy-duty motor turns the spit while you tend the coals, and the warming drawer keeps the first round ready. Two 1.2 m flue sections, a joining collar, a slip-on base and a rotating cowl come in the bundle.
Have a qualified electrician plan the connection for the motor and the light fitting.
MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME OUTSIDE
Settle in around the fire while the spit does the turning. Good food takes its own time.
Surround, counters and furniture are not included. Keep the motor compartment accessible.
BUILT FOR SLOW ROASTS
THE FIRE
Build the fire in the ember maker. Move the ready coals beneath the grid as you cook.
THE SPIT
The heavy-duty motor turns the spit while you tend the coals. Keep the left motor compartment accessible and confirm the motor supply and load before use.
THE MEAL
Use the warming drawer while you finish the meal. Let the unit and ash cool fully before cleaning and closing up.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Measure before you build.
These are product dimensions, not a building opening. Allow for insulation, expansion, motor-box access and the full flue route. Have an independent installer confirm the opening and chimney design before building.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation.

The braai includes its heavy-duty spit motor, motor box and spit arm, grid, ember maker, potjie arm, ash pan, ash drawer, warming drawer, slide-in door, light fitting, grid lifters, spade, poker, insulation and touch-up paint. Two 1.2 m flues, one joining collar, a slip-on base and a rotating cowl are also included.
Each extra section is 350 × 500 mm across and either 1.2 m or 2.4 m long. Choose one length, then set the quantity, up to five extra sections per braai. The two supplied sections give 2.4 m before extras.
One collar joins the two included sections. Extra flue sections need matching 350 × 500 mm collars at each additional join. Send your flue route and measurements so we can include the correct extra collars in your configuration quote.
The complete front frame is 1,655 mm wide and 920 mm high. The main braai body is 1,225 × 535 × 890 mm; its hood rises another 320 mm. The left motor compartment is 305 mm wide. Allow 300 mm in front for the lowered door. These are product measurements, not a finished opening specification.
Plan access to a suitable electrical supply for the motor and light fitting. Ask us to confirm the motor supply and maximum balanced spit load before ordering. Have a qualified electrician plan the connection and keep the motor compartment accessible.
Leave a 20 mm expansion gap at the sides and back, and fit insulation around the sides, back and top. Finished brickwork must sit behind the front frame. The chimney passage must be at least as large as the 500 × 350 mm outlet. Have an independent installer confirm the opening, support and flue route.
The included pipe length is not a complete chimney-height specification. The minimum chimney height is 2.5 m; the roof, nearby obstructions and flue route can require more. Your installer must confirm the height, supports and weatherproofing.
Use dry, seasoned firewood, good-quality charcoal or briquettes. Do not burn treated timber, painted wood or household waste. Start with small fires while the paint cures.
Let ash cool fully before moving it into a metal container with a lid. Clean and inspect the flue regularly. Check the rotating cowl each year and maintain its moving parts. Protect the unit from rain and maintain the paint finish.
The 15-year warranty covers the firebox against faulty material or workmanship under normal use. Replaceable parts, rust, misuse and damage from incorrect installation are excluded. Correct installation and maintenance are required. Keep your purchase and guarantee documents.
