A wide braai.
Fresh coals for every round.
Braai across the wide grid while the ember maker keeps fresh coals coming for the next round. Hang a potjie for something slow, switch on the light as the sun goes down, and let the ash pan and ash drawer handle the clean-up. Home Fires makes the 1500 Deluxe in black mild steel, and you can build it in indoors or outdoors.

ROOM FOR EVERYONE
From Sunday lunch to Friday-night supper.
Chops and wors across the wide grid, fresh coals glowing in the ember maker and everyone at the table. Built into your entertainment area, the 1500 Deluxe gives the whole family a place to gather, whatever the hour.
The brick chimney breast, firewood, furniture, plants and tableware are not included. Plan the flue, support and clearances with an independent installer.
MADE FOR BIG BRAAI DAYS
Keep the coals coming.
THE GRID
Room to spread out.
The grid is 1,225 mm wide, with room for chops, wors and sosaties together. Use the grid lifters to move the hot grid, and hang a potjie from the potjie holder for something slow.
THE ASH
Ash has its own place.
Ash collects in the ash pan and ash drawer. Let it cool fully before you empty it, and close the top and bottom doors when the braai is not in use.

A poker, insulation material and touch-up paint come with it too. The flue pipe, joining collar and cowl are optional extras, sold separately.
Which fuel can I use?
Wood or charcoal. Burn wood in the ember maker and rake the fresh coals under the grid as you cook.
How much cooking space is there?
The cooking grid is 1,225 mm wide. Grid lifters come with it, and the potjie holder takes a potjie for slow cooking alongside.
Is the flue included?
No. The flue pipe, joining collar and cowl are optional extras, sold separately. Send a photo and measurements for a flue and configuration quote, and we will confirm the right parts for your setup.

Yes. Homefires says its built-in braais may be installed indoors or outdoors. Have an independent installer plan the flue and the safe clearances for your space.
How do I look after the finish?
Touch-up paint comes with the braai, so you can refresh small marks on the black finish. The instruction manual covers the first fire, ash disposal and maintenance.
