THE HEAT
Aim for 280–300 °C.
That is the recommended range for pizza, and 350 °C is the most we recommend for the oven. Start the very first fire small: two hours, below 200 °C, before you cook anything.

The Al Fresco Magnifique Wood-fire Mosaic Pizza Oven comes in plain mosaic, in the single tile colour you choose. It bakes one large or two regular pizzas at a time, then bread or a medium-sized oven dish. Burn dry hardwood, bring it up to 280–300 °C, and let the pizza lifter and coal rake do the rest. Pizza night, sorted.
THE FIRST PIZZA'S GOING IN
Late afternoon, the fire is going and the first pizza is on its way in. One large or two regular at a time means everyone gets a turn, and nobody minds waiting with something cold in hand. When the pizzas are done, there is still the bread to think about.
The door is off in this picture, and it comes with the oven. The plinth, table, food, drink and plants are not included. The mobile stand is an option on this page.
A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING
THE HEAT
That is the recommended range for pizza, and 350 °C is the most we recommend for the oven. Start the very first fire small: two hours, below 200 °C, before you cook anything.
THE WOOD
Keep the choke valve and the oven door open while it heats. Do not burn laminated, painted or treated wood, and do not use charcoal to heat the oven.
THE FLOOR
Scrape up any spills, sweep out the ashes and finish with a damp cloth. Keep chemicals off the oven floor.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the oven, its base and the chimney together.
These sizes are for the oven alone, and they are not a cut-out size. The chimney's 800 mm is the length of the part, not the height it adds, so ask us for the height with the chimney fitted and for the flue connection size.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual before your first fire.

One large or two regular pizzas at a time. The cooking floor is 650 mm across on the inside.
Bread and medium-sized oven dishes both suit it.
Dry hardwood. Do not burn laminated, painted or treated wood, and do not use charcoal to heat the oven. Keep the choke valve and the oven door open while it heats.
Before you cook anything, burn a small fire for two hours and keep it below 200 °C.
The recommended pizza temperature is 280–300 °C, and the maximum recommended oven temperature is 350 °C. Al Fresco's mosaic range lists a thermometer only with the Grande and the Festivo, so do not count on one with this oven.
The oven needs a sound base, and the Al Fresco Magnifique mobile stand is one option on this page. The stainless-steel sliding table is listed for that stand, so ask us before you add the table on its own. Ask us for the stand's sizes too.
Yes, a standard stainless-steel chimney comes with it. Its 800 mm is the length of the part, not the height it adds. Ask us for the height with the chimney fitted and for the flue connection size.

The oven is 840 mm wide and 770 mm deep on the outside, and 600 mm high. These are not cut-out sizes. It weighs 75 kg without a stand, and the handles are removable. The door opening is 400 mm wide. Ask us for its height: we confirm it with Al Fresco.
