The Focus 1000 is a flueless gas fireplace that stands on the floor against an open wall, so there is no chimney breast to build. Flames dance over black ceramic coals with white stones around them. Run it on LPG or natural gas, and choose a manual or a remote valve. A pilot oxygen depletion system is part of its safety setup.
PUDDING BY THE FIRE
Supper is done, the bowls come out and the couch is the best seat in the house. The Focus 1000 glows against the wall, flames dancing over the coals, with no wood to carry in and no chimney above it. Winter evenings like this are why you wanted a fireplace.
The couch, coffee table, rug, décor and floor tiles are not included. A SAQCC Gas registered installer connects the fireplace.

THE ROOM
Chad-O-Chef suggests it for rooms up to 544 m³ (163 m²), depending on insulation, materials and climate. It must not go in a bedroom, bathroom, toilet or sauna, and your installer works out the ventilation your room needs.
THE WALL
It stands on the floor against an open wall. Chad-O-Chef advises a heat-resistant floor and wall covering. Keep curtains and fabric 500 mm from its sides and combustible furniture 1,000 mm in front.
THE GAS
Choose LPG or natural gas, and have it installed for that gas type by a SAQCC Gas registered installer. On LPG it uses at most 0.84 kg of gas an hour.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the wall space and the clearances together.
The fireplace is 1,020 mm wide, 700 mm high and 305 mm deep, and the manual adds clearances around it. These are product sizes: your gas installer checks the actual unit and the clearances for your room.
