The Picture 700 is a flueless gas fireplace made for the wall: a wide, flat frame with the flames in the middle, like a painting that moves. Choose a stainless steel or black frame, with a plain stainless back or a Midnight Mirror back. A piezo spark lights it on LPG or natural gas, and an oxygen depletion pilot is part of its safety setup.

The best picture in the room.
The lights come on outside, the wine is poured and the couch faces the fire. The Picture 700 sits flush in the wall like a framed painting that happens to glow, with no logs to carry in and no chimney to build. Some evenings, this is all the entertainment you need.
The wall, couch, coffee table, rug, lamp and décor are not included. A SAQCC Gas registered installer builds in and connects the fireplace.

THE ROOM
Pick the right room.
Without permanent ventilation the room must be at least 105 m³, and Chad-O-Chef suggests it for rooms up to 233 m³ (72 m²). It must not go in a bedroom, bathroom, toilet or sauna.
THE GAS
LPG or natural gas.
Choose LPG or natural gas, and have it installed for that gas type by a SAQCC Gas registered installer. A piezo spark lights it, so there are no matches to find.

Plan the aperture, not just the frame.
The frame is 905 × 600 mm and the wall aperture 670 × 520 mm. Behind the frame the body is 155 mm deep, 205 mm overall to the bowed front. These are product sizes: your gas installer checks the actual unit, the recess and the clearances.

What is included?
The Picture 700 fireplace in the frame and back you choose, with the burner, the decorative stones and the instruction manual. The wall aperture, the gas supply pipework and the installation are not included.
Which frame and back can I choose?
A stainless steel or black frame, with a plain stainless back or a Midnight Mirror back. Choose your pair on this page. The standard fire bed is black ash with a white stone surround; ask us about large coals or fire glass before you order.
Which gas does it use?
LPG or natural gas. The installation must suit your gas type, so confirm yours with us before you order. It lights with a piezo spark.
What size room is it for?
Chad-O-Chef suggests it for rooms up to 233 m³ (72 m²); the right size depends on insulation, materials and climate. Without permanent ventilation the room must be at least 105 m³, and your installer calculates the ventilation for a smaller room.
How much heat does it give?
Chad-O-Chef gives a maximum gas input for the Picture 700, not a certified heat output, so we do not list a heat output and the Output Calculator has no figure for it. Ask us, and we will help you compare it with your room.
Does it need a chimney?
No. It is a flueless gas fireplace, so there is no flue or chimney to build. An oxygen depletion system on the pilot (ODS, minimum 18.5% oxygen) is part of its safety setup. It must not go in a bedroom, bathroom, toilet or sauna.
How is it installed?
It is best installed in a single-sided wall aperture 670 mm wide, 520 mm high and 160–200 mm deep, and your installer provides a suitable recess. Chad-O-Chef also allows it to hang on the wall; your installer confirms the fixings for your wall.
How much clear space does it need?
Keep combustible material 100 mm from its sides, a combustible floor (carpet included) 100 mm away, curtains and fabric 500 mm from its sides, combustible furniture 1,000 mm in front and the ceiling 800 mm away. A heat-resistant masonry shelf may sit 500 mm above it.
How much space do I need?
The frame is 905 mm wide and 600 mm high. Behind it, the body is 650 mm wide, 500 mm high and 155 mm deep, and the total depth to the bowed front is 205 mm. The wall aperture is 670 × 520 mm. Have your installer check the actual unit before you open the wall.
What is it made of?
Stainless steel. The frame comes in stainless steel or black, and the back in plain stainless steel or Midnight Mirror.
What does the guarantee cover?
Chad-O-Chef gives a two-year guarantee on the fireplace. Its terms and conditions apply; ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and the measurements of your wall and room for a product and configuration quote. We do not install: arrange installation with an independent, SAQCC Gas registered installer for your gas type.
