Stack the logs, light the fire and settle in. The 540W burns wood, and its flue connects on top or at the back, so your installer can pick the neatest route for your room. An outside-air connection is listed as included on this model. The stove stands on its own legs, so it needs no built-in opening. The installation manual is under Plan your setup.

A ROOM TO GET LOST IN
A good book and a warm study.
Afternoon light, a full bookcase and a fire you can hear from across the room. Pull your chair up to the desk, pour another cup and give the afternoon to a good story. With the 540W alight, the study becomes the room everyone wants to borrow.
The flue pipe, stone hearth plate, bookcase, desk, chairs, rug, plants and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.
A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING
Heat, flue and air, sorted.
THE FLUE
Top or rear: plan the route.
The 150 mm flue connects on top, with its centre 100 mm from the back, or at the rear, with its centre 605 mm above the floor. We confirm the flue parts for your setup, and an independent installer plans the route.
THE AIR
Outside air, included.
An outside-air connection is listed as included for the 540W. Plan the air supply with the flue, and let your installer follow the installation manual for your room.

GOOD TO KNOW
Plan your setup.
Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation.
What is included?
The Dovre 540W wood stove in black, on its legs. An outside-air connection is listed as included. Flue pipes, accessories and installation are not included.
Which fuel does it burn?
Wood. The 540W is a wood-burning stove. Burn dry firewood and follow the manual.
How much heat does it give?
The 540W is rated at 6.5 kW nominal output, and it's advertised in South Africa at up to 8.5 kW maximum. The Output Calculator uses 7.5 kW, the middle of the two. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.
Where does the flue connect?
On top or at the rear, through a 150 mm flue connection. On top, the centre is 100 mm from the back of the stove. At the rear, the centre is 605 mm above the floor. We confirm the flue parts for your setup, and an independent installer plans the route.
Is the flue included?
No. Flue pipes and accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote.
Does it take outside air?
An outside-air connection is listed as included for this model. Our drawing also shows a 95 mm connection low on the back, with its centre 205 mm above the floor. Your installer plans the air supply from the installation manual.
How much space does it need?
The stove is 540 mm wide, 740 mm high to the top casting and 475 mm deep as listed. Its legs lift the body 230 mm off the floor. These are the stove's own sizes: your installer applies the hearth size and clearances from the installation manual.
Is it freestanding?
Yes. The 540W stands on its own legs, so it needs no built-in opening. Place it on a suitable hearth, with the clearances from the manual.
What does the guarantee cover?
The main body of the stove has a five-year limited warranty from the South African distributor. Ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
