A fire on three sides.
The PEN 780 is built around a fully welded 5 mm steel firebox, lined with vermiculite and finished in metallic black high-heat paint. Two side glass doors sit next to the front glass, so the flames show from three sides. Load it with hardwood, keep the next logs in the stand below, and let the integrated ash box take care of the ash.

A slow afternoon by the fire.
Late sun over the vines, a basket of logs by the door and flames dancing behind glass on three sides. Settle into the armchair, pour something warm and let the afternoon run long. Freestanding on its log stand, the PEN 780 gives an open-plan room a fire to gather around.
The flue pipe, hearth plate, log basket, firewood, furniture and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.

THE VIEW
Glass on three sides.
Front glass plus two side glass doors that open to the side, so the fire shows from the front and both sides. Place it where the room can enjoy all three views, and keep furnishings 1,000 mm away.
THE FLUE
One outlet, on top.
The flue connects at the top, with a 150 mm nominal flue. Flue pipes and accessories depend on your room and roof, so send us a photo and measurements for a flue configuration quote.

The body is 612 mm high on a 408.5 mm log stand; ask us to confirm the overall height before a tight fit. Keep 800 mm to combustible walls and 1,200 mm to a combustible ceiling, and have an independent installer check the site.

What is included?
The FLAMM PEN 780 closed combustion fireplace in metallic black, with its log stand and the integrated ash box. Chimney flue pipes, accessories and installation are not included: we quote the flue parts for your setup.
Which fuel does it burn?
Wood. It's designed for hardwood, so plan your woodpile around it. The log stand under the firebox keeps the next logs close at hand.
How much heat does it give?
12 kW nominal and up to 14 kW maximum heat output, with a published heating volume of 336 m³. The Output Calculator uses 13 kW, the middle of the two. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.
Do the side doors open?
Yes. Next to the front glass, the PEN 780 has two side glass doors, and they open to the side. That is what gives you a view of the fire from three sides.
Where does the flue connect?
At the top. The outlet collar stands 35 mm above the body and takes a 150 mm nominal flue. Our drawing shows the outlet at Ø152 mm, and your installer confirms the exact fit of the flue pipe on site.
Is the flue included?
No. Chimney flue pipes and accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote, and we will help you choose the right parts.
How much space does it need?
The body is 790 mm wide, 590 mm deep and 612 mm high, on a 408.5 mm log stand. Ask us to confirm the overall height before you plan a tight fit. Keep at least 800 mm to combustible walls, 1,200 mm to a combustible ceiling and 1,000 mm to household furnishings. Your independent installer applies the full manual and local requirements.
What does it need underneath?
Use a floor protector under the fireplace that reaches 400 mm in front of it and 200 mm beyond the sides and the rear. The fireplace weighs 170 kg, so have your installer check that the floor can carry it.
Can it stand in a recess?
In a suitable recess, leave a free air gap of 200 mm at the sides and top and 50 mm at the rear. That gap is for airflow only and does not replace the 800 mm clearance to combustible walls. Plan it with your independent installer.
How is it made?
The firebox is fully welded from 5 mm steel and lined with vermiculite. The finish is a metallic black high-heat paint.
What does the guarantee cover?
The main stove body has an extended five-year limited Home Fires warranty, for new units bought from Home Fires or an authorised retailer. Register it within 30 days, or the term drops to 12 months. It covers the first owner at the first installation, with proof of purchase and professional installation records. Wear parts, glass, linings, seals and finishes are excluded. Ask us for the full terms.
