Room for the whole round.
The Homefires 9905 flat-top griller puts five cast-iron burners under stainless round-bar grids, with stainless vaporiser plates in between. Press the piezo ignition, cook across the whole surface, then empty the drip tray and put the dust cover lid back on. The black 3 mm mild-steel body has top and bottom doors to close it all away.

SUNDOWNERS ON THE ROOF
Espetada and prawns as the sun goes down.
Up on the roof terrace with the city turning gold, the espetada and prawns sizzle side by side on the gas griller. One man turns the prawns, the other keeps him company, and nobody waits for coals. Supper is ready before the city lights come on.
The concrete wall, counters, table, chairs, planters, food and drinks are not included. Plan the flue, gas connection and clearances with an independent installer.

THE CLEAN-UP
Easy to keep tidy.
Drips fall onto the stainless vaporiser plates and into the drip tray. Lift out the grid panels to clean them, empty the tray, and put the dust cover lid on when you're done.
THE BUILD
Closes away after the braai.
The body is 3 mm mild steel with a black finish. Top and bottom doors close the front when you're done, and the light fitting helps once the sun goes down.

What is included?
The 1000 Super Deluxe Gas braai: a black 3 mm mild-steel body with top and bottom doors and a Homefires 9905 stainless-steel flat-top gas griller with five burners, grid panels, vaporiser plates, a drip tray and a dust cover lid. A light fitting, insulation material and touch-up paint come with it. The flue pipe, collar and cowl are optional add-ons.
Which gas does it use?
It is listed for LPG at 2.8 kPa. Homefires' gas manual also gives a natural-gas setting of 2.0 kPa, but only Homefires can convert the griller, so tell us which gas you have before you order. The manual gives the 9905 griller a heat output of 17.5 kW. That figure is for cooking, not for heating a room.
How much cooking space is there?
The gas cooking surface is 880 × 400 mm. It is made up of three removable stainless round-bar grid panels: two of 340 × 397 mm and one of 200 × 397 mm.
What size is the gas griller?
The griller is 900 mm wide, 500 mm deep and 222 mm high, without the gas connection.
Is the flue included?
No. The flue pipe, collar and cowl are optional add-ons that you can choose on this page. Send a photo and measurements for a flue and configuration quote, and we will confirm the right parts for your setup.
Where does the flue connect?
At the outlet on top of the gather. The gather rises 325 mm above the body, and the outlet is 440 × 350 mm. The Homefires flue parts on this page have a nominal size of 440 × 340 mm. Homefires' installation guidance gives a minimum chimney height of 2,500 mm.
How much space do I need?
The body is 1,035 mm wide and 855 mm high, and the gather rises 325 mm above it. The front frame is 1,090 mm wide and 880 mm high, and the open lower door reaches 455 mm in front of the body. Ask us to confirm the body depth before you build. Homefires' guidance leaves a 20 mm expansion gap at the sides and the back. These are product dimensions, not a building opening.
How far must the gas griller be from combustible materials?
Homefires' gas manual gives 250 mm at the sides of the griller and 1,500 mm above the cooking surface. Your installer applies these together with the braai's own installation instructions.
Can I get it in stainless steel?
The version on this page has the standard body: mild steel with a black finish. Homefires also makes the body in 3CR12 or 304 stainless steel as a special order, so ask us for a quote if you would like one.
How do I look after it?
Touch-up paint comes with the braai, so you can refresh small marks on the black finish. Lift out the grid panels to clean them, empty the drip tray, put the dust cover lid on after use, and read the instruction manual for use and care.
What does the guarantee cover?
Homefires gives 15 years on the firebox against faulty workmanship or material under normal use. Replaceable parts are not covered, and maintenance, corrosion and installation exclusions apply. The gas griller has its own warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase, subject to Homefires' conditions. Ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and measurements for a product, gas and flue configuration quote. We do not install. Homefires' gas manual asks for a registered gas installer and a completion certificate, so arrange the installation and the gas connection with an independent, registered installer.
