Let the heavy-duty spit motor turn the roast on the nickel-plated arm, or braai across the wide grid. The ember maker keeps fresh coals coming, the warming drawer holds what's ready, and the 220 V light fitting sees you into the evening. Open the lower door and it doubles as a work surface.
Regular painting and maintenance keep the 15-year firebox guarantee valid.
LONG LUNCHES, LATE LIGHT
The roast is on the spit, the coals glow underneath and the table under the thatch is filling up. Someone checks the meat, someone brings the salad, and nobody is in a hurry. Built into your braai wall, the 1500 Super Deluxe Spit makes room for long, slow days with friends.
The face-brick wall and chimney, thatch, counters, table, benches, braai fork, food and plants are not included. Plan the flue and clearances with an independent installer.
BUILT FOR LONG SPIT DAYS
THE SPIT
Roast on the heavy-duty, nickel-plated spit arm over a bed of coals. Burn wood in the ember maker and rake fresh coals under the meat whenever the fire needs them, for as long as the roast takes.
THE GRID
The 1,225 × 550 mm grid comes with grid lifters, and the potjie holder takes a potjie for something slow. Keep the first round in the warming drawer while the next one cooks.
THE BUILD
Homefires builds the firebox from hot-rolled 3 mm mild steel. Open, the lower door makes a work surface for your tools, and the 220 V light fitting helps once the sun goes down.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the braai, hood and flue together.
These are product dimensions, not a brick opening. Keep 400 mm clear in front for the open lower door, and leave a 20 mm expansion gap at the sides and back. Ask us to confirm the overall height, and have your installer check the actual unit and safe clearances.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation.
