ONE MORE CHAPTER

The day is done, the logs are burning and there is one more chapter to read. A wide open fire pulls everyone in, from the youngest in the house to the oldest. Build it into your lounge and it soon becomes the spot where winter evenings happen, with no one in a hurry to leave.
This fireplace is sold without a grate. The logs, plastered chimney breast, hearth, furniture, basket and décor are not included. Plan the flue and clearances with an independent installer.

THE HEAT
Warmth that fills the room.
Universal fireplaces give convection and radiated heat. The listed wood heating capacity is 100 m². We do not have a Jetmaster kW figure for this model, so treat the area as a guide and ask us about your room.
THE FLUE
Plan the flue before you build.
The rectangular flue section is 400 × 200 mm. A flue adapter, round flue pipe and rotating cowl are options on this page. Ask us for the round flue diameter before you order: we confirm it with Jetmaster.

Plan the body, gather and flue together.
The 780 mm body height does not include the 252 mm gather or the flue, and you add 100 mm to the width for the frame. These are product sizes, not a building opening, so ask us for the opening size and have your installer check the actual unit and safe clearances.

Which fuel can I use?
Wood or charcoal. Gas options are separate versions, so the gas grate on our drawing is not part of this fireplace. Ask us if you would rather burn gas.
How much heat does it give?

Can it go into an existing masonry recess?
In an existing masonry recess, allow 25 mm all round for insulation. That allowance is for this kind of recess only. It is not a finished opening size or a clearance from combustible materials. The insulation blanket is an option on this page. Have your installer check the rest.
Which parts of the installation manual apply?
The South African Jetmaster installation booklet applies to this Universal model. It also covers other models and has gas chapters, so follow the sections for this fireplace. Where the booklet and this page differ on the round flue, ask us first.
What does the guarantee cover?
Universal fireplace boxes are listed with a five-year Jetmaster guarantee against faults in materials and workmanship. It applies to normal domestic use, with proof of purchase, correct installation and maintenance, and its exclusions apply. Accessories have separate cover. Ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
