The Flameline 1610 is a flueless gas fireplace that drops into a non-flammable housing and rests on its rim. Three burners run a long line of flame over diamond black fire glass, with glass walls along both sides. A piezo spark lights it, and an oxygen-depletion pilot is part of its safety system. Choose stainless steel or Midnight Mirror.

EVENINGS ON THE COUCH
One long flame.
Everyone close.
The day is done, the garden lights are on and the whole family has found a spot on the couch. A long line of flame dances over black fire glass in the stone plinth, with no wood to carry in and no ash to sweep. Movie or stories, tonight everyone stays up a little longer.
The stone plinth, feature wall, couch, coffee table and décor are not included. Plan the housing, ventilation and gas connection with a registered gas installer.

THE HOUSING

The fireplace drops into a 1,550 × 152 mm cut-out in a non-flammable housing. The housing needs two brick-sized ventilation openings below the unit, and the two supplied vent covers finish them neatly.
THE WALL
Close to a wall, if you like.
Models made since January 2022 have glass walls along both sides of the burners, so it can stand against a wall within the manual's clearances: at least 100 mm to a non-combustible, heat-resistant wall behind.

Plan the cut-out, housing and ventilation together.
The 1,660 × 215 mm rim rests on the edge of a 1,550 × 152 mm cut-out, and the body reaches 148 mm below the rim. These are product sizes, not a building plan: your registered gas installer checks the actual unit, the housing and the clearances.

What is included?
The Flameline 1610 in the finish you choose, with three burners, six glass walls, decorative stones of diamond black fire glass, two vent covers and the instruction manual. The housing, the gas supply pipework and the installation are not included.
Which finish can I choose?
Stainless steel or Midnight Mirror. Choose one finish on this page. The fireplace itself is made of stainless steel with heat-resistant coatings.
Which gas does it use?
LPG or natural gas. Confirm your gas type with us before you order. A gas installer registered with SAQCC Gas for that gas type must install it.
What size room is it for?
Chad-O-Chef suggests it for rooms up to 598 m³ (181 m²), depending on room conditions. Its maximum gas input is 14.7 kW. Ask us to check it against your room.
Does it need a flue or chimney?
No. It is a flueless gas fireplace, so there is no flue or chimney to build. A pilot oxygen depletion system, with an 18.5% oxygen minimum, is part of its safety system.
Does the room need ventilation?
Without permanent ventilation, the room must be at least 270 m³. A smaller room needs permanent ventilation, planned by your gas installer with the manual.
How is it installed?
It drops into a 1,550 × 152 mm cut-out in a non-flammable housing and rests on its rim. The housing needs two brick-sized ventilation openings below the unit, which the two 260 × 110 mm vent covers finish. A gas installer registered with SAQCC Gas for your gas type installs and connects it.
Can it go against a wall?
Yes, the current model. Flamelines made since January 2022 have glass walls along both sides of the burners and can be installed against a wall when the manual's clearances are kept, with at least 100 mm to a non-combustible, heat-resistant wall behind.
How much clear space does it need?
To combustible materials, keep at least 300 mm at the sides (500 mm to curtains and fabric), 800 mm to the ceiling, 100 mm to the floor, carpet included, and 1,000 mm to furniture in front. To non-combustible, heat-resistant materials, keep 100 mm at the sides. Your installer follows the full manual.
Can I choose another fire glass colour?
Diamond black fire glass comes as standard. Clear, blue or gold fire glass are options, so ask us before you order.
What does the guarantee cover?
Chad-O-Chef gives a two-year guarantee on the fireplace; terms and conditions apply. Ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and measurements for a product and configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent, registered gas installer.
