Mount the hood on the wall above your Chad-O-Chef gas braai and let it take the smoke away. A grease filter, a drip tray and a light fitting come with it. Choose a top or rear exit, and Inland or Coastal grade (Coastal is made for the coast). The extractor fan is a separate item, so confirm the complete system with us: hood, duct length and fan.

What does it fit?
The wall above a Chad-O-Chef gas braai: it is made to extract the smoke from Chad-O-Chef gas braais. Mount it 600–700 mm above the grill, measured from the grill surface to the hood's underside. Tell us your braai model before you order and we will check it with you.
What is included?
The hood with a grease filter, a drip tray and a light fitting. The ducting, mock-flue, extractor motor, damper and weather-dome are separate purchases.
Which fan and ducting do I need?
The extractor fan is a separate item, and the ducting is not included either. The complete system (the hood, the duct length and the fan) must be confirmed for your installation, so send us your plan and we will confirm it with you before you order. A qualified electrician must install the fan.
Top exit or rear exit?
Both are offered: choose one on this page. On the top exit, the duct sits 30 mm from the back of the hood. On the rear exit, the duct's lower edge is 135 mm above the hood's base. Both exits are 200 × 200 mm square.
Inland or Coastal grade?
Chad-O-Chef makes the hood in two grades of stainless steel: choose one on this page. Inland grade is for general corrosion resistance. Coastal grade is for severely corrosive conditions and homes at the coast. If you are not sure which suits your home, ask us before you order.
How big is it?
The hood is 1,000 mm wide and 630 mm deep. The crown on top is 260 mm wide and, on the top-exit hood, 260 mm deep. Ask us for the height before you plan a tight space.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. These braai products have a three-year Chad-O-Chef guarantee, subject to its terms. The hood is for domestic use only.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and measurements of your braai area for a product and configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange fitting with an independent installer and a qualified electrician for the fan.
