Two fuels, one handsome little stove.
Burn wood on a mild evening, or anthracite when a cold front settles in: the 250 takes both. The flue connects on top or at the back through a 125 mm connection, so your installer can choose the neatest route. The mantle is cast iron in a black finish, the stove weighs 80 kg, and it stands on its own legs, so it needs no built-in opening.

WARM KITCHEN, EARLY START
Bread on the table, fire in the corner.
Flour on the table, the kettle on and the first loaf of the day taking shape. The 250 takes the chill out of a winter kitchen while the dough rises, and somehow everyone wanders in to see what is baking.
The flue pipe, hearth plate, log basket and firewood, table, chairs and kitchen items are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.

Dovre rates the 250 at 6 kW nominal output, and the South African distributor lists a maximum of 8 kW. The Output Calculator uses 7 kW, the middle of the two.

Dovre rates the 250 at 6 kW nominal output, and the South African distributor lists a maximum of 8 kW. The Output Calculator uses 7 kW, the middle of the two. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.

Is the flue included?
No. Flue pipes and accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote.
How much space does it need?
The top casting is 450 mm wide and 335 mm deep, and the stove is 405 mm deep overall. From the back of the rear flue collar to the front of the front leg is 360 mm, and the stove weighs 80 kg. Ask us to confirm the height before you plan a tight fit. Your installer applies the hearth size and clearances from the installation manual.
Is it freestanding?
Yes. The 250 stands on its own legs, so it needs no built-in opening. Place it on a suitable hearth, with the clearances from the manual.
Is it available in other colours?
This page sells the 250 in black. Ask us if you are looking for another finish, and we will check what the supplier can offer.
What does the guarantee cover?
Dovre's South African distributor gives a limited warranty of five years on the main body of the stove. Ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
