The A2 is all about the view: a wide glass door puts the whole fire on show. Inside the 5 mm steel firebox, a vermiculite lining surrounds the flames. The finish is a black high-heat paint, the flue connects on top, and the listed efficiency is 82%. There is no ash pan, so clear the ash once the fire is out and cold.

THE FIRE
A big window on the flames.
The glass sheet measures 792 × 583 mm, so the fire stays on show from across the room. A vermiculite lining surrounds the flames inside the 5 mm steel firebox.
THE FLUE
One outlet, on top.
The outlet sits on top, its centre 159.5 mm from the rear edge of the body, with a 155 mm socket for a 150 mm nominal flue pipe. Send us a photo and measurements for a flue quote.

What is included?
The FLAMM A2 closed combustion fireplace in a black high-heat finish, with its vermiculite lining. Flue pipes, accessories and installation are not included: we quote the flue parts for your setup.
Which fuel does it burn?
Wood. It is a closed combustion fireplace, with the fire behind the wide glass door.
How much heat does it give?
12 kW nominal and up to 14 kW maximum heat output, with a listed efficiency of 82%. The Output Calculator uses 13 kW, the middle of the two. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.
Does it have an ash pan?
No. The A2 has no ash pan. Let the fire go out and the ash cool completely before you clear it.
Where does the flue connect?
At the top. The outlet centre is 159.5 mm from the rear edge of the body, and the socket is 155 mm across inside and 165 mm outside, for a 150 mm nominal flue pipe. Have an independent installer plan the flue route, height and support for your building.
Is the flue included?
No. Chimney flue pipes and accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote, and we will help you choose the right parts.
How much space does it need?
The body is 892 mm wide and 784 mm high. Ask us to confirm the depth and the weight before you plan a tight fit. The manual asks for at least 800 mm to combustible materials, 1,200 mm to a combustible ceiling and 1,000 mm to household furnishings. Your installer applies the full manual and local requirements.
What does it need underneath?
The manual asks for a floor protector that reaches 400 mm in front of the fireplace and 200 mm beyond the sides and the rear. Depending on your floor, it describes a 125 mm constructional hearth or, in some cases, a 12 mm non-combustible board. Have your installer check the floor.
Can it stand in a recess?
In a recess, the manual asks for a free air gap of 200 mm at the sides and the top and 50 mm at the rear. These gaps are for airflow and do not define a cut-out. Where a firewall is needed, the manual gives 100 mm of brick, concrete or stone.
How high should the flue go?
The manual says a flue of about 4,500 mm could be satisfactory. Where an offset is allowed, it limits a horizontal run to 300 mm, followed by 2,500 mm of vertical flue, and its roof diagram shows the flue rising 600 mm. Your installer decides the route for your building and wind.
What does the guarantee cover?
Home Fires gives a five-year limited warranty on the main body against manufacturing defects. Register it within 30 days, or the term drops to 12 months. It covers the first owner at the first installed location, for a unit bought from Home Fires or an authorised retailer and installed correctly; keep your purchase and installation records. Glass, bricks, baffles, handles, paint and seals are excluded. Ask us for the full terms.
