Light the fire, close the door and let two built-in fans move warm air into the room. A thermo switch looks after the fans, and a separate controller sets their speed. The firebox takes logs up to 50 cm long and burns wood, coal or lignite briquettes, so you can use what you have. The ash tray keeps the clean-up simple.
The fans need a 230 V electrical connection near the fireplace.

WHEN THE NIGHT TURNS COLD
A warm room to come home to.
Winter evenings call for a proper fire. Load a few logs, close the door and let the fans carry the warmth across the room. The dog claims the rug, someone finds a blanket, and nobody is in a hurry to go anywhere.
The stone chimney breast, hearth, log bucket, rug and furniture are not included, and the three-sided and bottom trim is an optional extra. Plan the flue, hearth and clearances with an independent installer.

THE FIRE

Dovre rates the 2520S for wood, coal and lignite briquettes. The firebox takes logs up to 50 cm long, and the ash tray collects the ash. Follow the manual for each fuel.
THE CONNECTIONS
Flue and air ducts on top.
The 150 mm flue connects at the top, and two 125 mm convection-air connections sit beside it. Plan the flue route and any ducting with an independent installer before the wall goes up.

What is included?
The Dovre 2520S insert in black, with an ash tray, two built-in fans, a fan thermo switch and a separate speed controller. The three-sided and bottom trim is an optional extra that you can choose on this page. Flue pipes, convection ducting, the electrical connection and installation are not included.
Which fuel can I burn?
Dovre rates the 2520S for wood, coal and lignite briquettes. The firebox takes logs up to 50 cm long. Follow the instruction manual for each fuel.
How much heat does it give?
On wood, Dovre rates the 2520S at 10 kW nominal output and 12 kW maximum, with 80% efficiency. At its lowest, it gives 3.3 kW. The Output Calculator uses 11 kW, the middle of the nominal and maximum output. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.
How do the fans work?
Two built-in fans give 180 m³/h of warm convection air. A thermo switch controls them, and a separate controller sets the speed. They need a 230 V, 50 Hz electrical connection (0.5 A), so plan a power supply near the fireplace with a qualified electrician.
What are the convection-air connections?
The 2520S has two 125 mm convection-air connections on top, 540 mm apart between centres, with their centres 75 mm from the rear. Ask your installer how to connect them for your room.
Where does the flue connect?
At the top. The flue connection is 150 mm in diameter, and its centre is 120 mm from the rear of the insert. Have an independent installer plan the flue route, height and support for your building.
Is the flue included?
No. The flue pipes and cowl depend on your room and roof. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote.
How much space do I need?
The insert is 690 mm wide, 600 mm high and 430 mm deep, and it weighs 160 kg. These are the insert's own sizes, not a building opening, and no standard cut-out size is given. Your installer sets the opening and the clearances from the manual, and checks that the floor or plinth can carry the weight.
Does it need outside air?
Dovre's specification lists no outside-air connection for the 2520S. Ask your installer whether your room needs extra ventilation for a closed-combustion fireplace.
Can the door open the other way?
Yes. The door opening direction can be changed. Tell us which way you want it to open when you order, and we will confirm it with you.
What does the guarantee cover?
Dovre gives a 5-year limited warranty on the main stove body and 1 year on the electrical components. Ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
