The Bold 300 keeps things simple. One air control sets the fire, and the slam-lock door latches as you close it. Logs up to 35 cm go in, the fire burns on a grate with secondary combustion, and the ash tray takes care of the ash. Connect the flue at the top or the rear, and bring in outside air if your room needs it.

After a long day, the best seat in the flat is the chair by the stove. Put the kettle on, light a few logs and watch the flames settle while the city lights come on outside. A small space, warm and calm, and all yours.
The flue pipe, hearth plate, log basket, furniture and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.

Simple to run, easy to tend.
One air control, a slam-lock door and room for logs up to 35 cm long. The fire burns on a grate with secondary combustion, and an ash tray comes with the stove.
THE CONNECTIONS
Top or rear: you choose.
The 150 mm flue connects at the top or the rear, which helps when you plan around a wall or a chimney. A 100 mm outside-air connection lets the fire take its air from outside.

Plan the stove, hearth and flue together.
These are the stove's own sizes, not a hearth or room size. Dovre asks for 1,300 mm to combustible materials in front, so plan the whole space. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances in the manual.

What is included?
The Dovre Bold 300 wood stove in black, with its door and ash tray. It has a fire grate, a single air control, a slam-lock door and an outside-air connection. Flue pipes, other accessories and installation are not included.
Which fuel does it burn?
Wood. The firebox takes logs up to 35 cm long. Burn dry firewood, and ask us before you plan to burn anything else.
How much heat does it give?
Dovre rates the Bold 300 at 7 kW nominal output. The South African distributor lists a maximum of 9 kW. The Output Calculator uses 8 kW, the middle of the two. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.
Where does the flue connect?
At the top or the rear, through a 150 mm flue connection. For a rear connection, the centre is 850 mm above the floor. For a top connection, the centre is 165 mm from the back of the stove. Plan the route with an independent installer before you build.
Is the flue included?
No. Flue pipes and other accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote.
Can it draw air from outside?
Yes. Dovre includes an outside-air connection: a 100 mm collar with its centre 240 mm above the floor. Ask your installer whether your room needs outside air, and plan the duct with the manual.
How much space does it need?
It is a freestanding stove, so it needs no built-in opening. It is 490 mm wide, 420 mm deep and 1,010 mm high, and weighs 130 kg, so check that your floor can carry it. Dovre's minimum distances to combustible materials are 1,300 mm in front, 700 mm at the sides, 350 mm behind and 750 mm above, and 100 mm to non-combustible materials. Your installer applies the full list in the manual, floor included.
How do I control the fire?
With a single air control, so there is one setting to learn. The slam-lock door latches as you close it, and the stove has secondary combustion. Read the manual before the first fire.
How do I clear the ash?
The fire burns on a fire grate, and an ash tray comes with the stove. Let the ash cool fully before you empty it.
Does it come in other colours?
This page sells the Bold 300 in black. Ask us if you are looking for another finish, and we will check what we can offer.
What does the guarantee cover?
The South African distributor gives a limited five-year guarantee on the main stove body. Exclusions and claim conditions apply, so ask us for the full terms.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and your room measurements for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
