The Bow keeps things simple: one air control sets the fire. Logs up to 50 cm go in through the curved door, so there is less sawing to do. Vermiculite plates line the firebox, secondary combustion works on the fire, and the ash tray keeps the clean-up quick. The flue connects on top, which keeps the look clean.

A QUIET CORNER OF YOUR OWN

Your favourite chair, by the fire.

Late-afternoon sun, a good chair and a fire you can see from across the room. The Bow's curved door gives you a wide view of the flames, and the pedestal keeps the look light and uncluttered. Pour something warm, put your feet up and stay a while.

The flue pipe, stone hearth plate, log basket, furniture and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.

The oval body and curved door give you a wide, panoramic view of the flames. On its pedestal, the body sits 315 mm above the floor.

THE FLUE

One connection, on top.

The 150 mm flue connects on top, with its centre 155 mm from the back of the stove. We confirm the flue parts for your setup, and an independent installer plans the route.

What is included?

The Dovre Bow stove in black on its pedestal, with its door and an ash tray. Flue pipes, other accessories and installation are not included.

Which fuel does it burn?

Wood. The firebox takes logs up to 50 cm long. Burn dry firewood and follow the manual.

How do I run the fire?

With a single air control, so there is one setting to learn. The stove has secondary combustion, and vermiculite inner plates line the firebox. An ash tray comes with the stove: let the ash cool fully before you empty it, and read the manual before the first fire.

Is the flue included?

No. Flue pipes and other accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo, your room measurements and roof details for a product and flue configuration quote.

How much space does it need?

The Bow is 700 mm wide and 870 mm high without the top collar. The body is 430 mm deep, or 460 mm with the front hardware. The minimum distances to combustible materials are 1,400 mm in front, 450 mm at the sides, 550 mm behind and 750 mm above, and 100 mm to non-combustible materials. Your installer applies the full list from the manual.

Is it freestanding?

Yes. The Bow stands on its own pedestal, so it needs no built-in opening. Place it on a suitable hearth, with the clearances from the manual.
