How delivery works

DeliveryHow it works

Because most of our products are huge, it’s difficult for us to keep stock of all of them. For this reason, we deliver a lot of our products directly from our suppliers and manufacturers, to offer you a great price and a fresh braai and a warm fireplace.

PRIORITY DELIVERYWe will make sure you are kept in the loop at every single step of the way and we will have your order processed as a priority. Tracking number included.

FREE DELIVERYLook, it’s free but we are unable to provide an exact time or take specific delivery requests as we are at the mercy of our suppliers. We still do our best to deliver as quickly as possible and in most cases we are much quicker than the stated turn around time.

MORE ABOUT THE FLAMM 560

Welded steel, firebrick inside.
Wood only.

The FLAMM 560 is a closed-combustion stove with a fully welded 5 mm steel firebox, lined with firebrick and finished in metallic black high-heat paint. It burns wood only, never coal or anthracite. The glass is 391 mm wide and 365 mm high, so the fire takes centre stage, and the ash pan keeps the clean-up simple.

SEA AIR, WARM ROOM

When the wind turns cold, light the fire.

Pale walls, bare floorboards and a window full of sea. When the afternoon wind picks up, light the FLAMM 560, settle into the couch with a blanket and let the big glass window put on the show. The weekend can take its time.

The flue pipe, hearth plate, furniture, rug and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.

A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING

Plan the heat, the flue and the room.

THE HEAT

9 kW nominal, up to 11 kW.

Home Fires rates the FLAMM 560 at 9 kW nominal and 11 kW maximum heat output, and gives an indicative heating capacity of about 110 m². The Output Calculator uses 10 kW, the middle of the two, to compare with your room.

THE FLUE

Straight up from the top.

Connect a 150 mm nominal flue pipe to the top outlet. The manual asks you to avoid horizontal runs: at most 400 mm, then at least 2,500 mm of vertical flue. Send us a photo and measurements for a flue quote.

THE ROOM

Give it space to breathe.

The manual asks for 1,000 mm between the stove and household furnishings, and recommends 800 mm from combustible materials. Leave 1,200 mm above it to a combustible ceiling.

What is included?

The FLAMM 560 stove on its legs, with the firebrick lining, the ash pan and the door with its handle. Flue pipes, accessories and installation are not included: we quote the flue parts for your setup.

Which fuel can I burn?

Wood only. Home Fires says coal and anthracite must not be used in the FLAMM 560.

How much heat does it give?

9 kW nominal and up to 11 kW maximum heat output. The Output Calculator uses 10 kW, the middle of the two. Home Fires gives an indicative heating capacity of about 110 m²; insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.

Where does the flue connect?

On top. The outlet has an inside diameter of 151.5 mm, for a 150 mm nominal flue pipe. The manual asks you to avoid horizontal runs: keep any horizontal run to 400 mm at most, followed by at least 2,500 mm of vertical flue. Have an independent installer plan the flue route, height and support.

Is the flue included?

No. Flue pipes and accessories are sold separately, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote, and we will help you choose the right parts.

How tall must the flue be?

The manual suggests that a flue of 4,500 mm from the stove to the top could be enough, depending on your site. Its roof diagram shows the flue ending 1,500 mm above the roof where it passes through, and 600 mm above the ridge. Your installer designs the flue for your house.

How much space does it need?

The casing is 560 mm wide and 422 mm deep, or 454.4 mm deep with the handle. It stands 720 mm to the top plate, on 162 mm legs. The manual asks for 1,000 mm to household furnishings, recommends 800 mm from combustible materials, and asks for 1,200 mm above it to a combustible ceiling.

What hearth does it need?

The manual asks for a constructional hearth at least 125 mm thick, with a floor protector that reaches at least 400 mm in front of the stove and 200 mm at the sides and the back. Where a firewall is needed, it asks for one at least 100 mm thick. Your installer confirms the hearth for your floor and room.

Can it stand in a recess?

Yes, with free air around it: at least 200 mm at the sides, 200 mm above and 50 mm behind, as the manual sets out. Have your installer check the opening and the flue before you build.

What size is the glass?

The glass is 391 mm wide and 365 mm high. Give us this size if you ever need a replacement pane.

What does the guarantee cover?

Home Fires gives a 5-year extended guarantee on the main stove body when you register it within 30 days; otherwise the cover is 12 months. It covers the first owner at the first installed location, and exclusions apply. The manual has the full terms.

Can you help with my setup?

Yes. Send a photo and your room measurements for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
