How delivery works

DeliveryHow it works

Because most of our products are huge, it’s difficult for us to keep stock of all of them. For this reason, we deliver a lot of our products directly from our suppliers and manufacturers, to offer you a great price and a fresh braai and a warm fireplace.

PRIORITY DELIVERYWe will make sure you are kept in the loop at every single step of the way and we will have your order processed as a priority. Tracking number included.

FREE DELIVERYLook, it’s free but we are unable to provide an exact time or take specific delivery requests as we are at the mercy of our suppliers. We still do our best to deliver as quickly as possible and in most cases we are much quicker than the stated turn around time.

MADE IN CAST IRON

Cast iron, glass and a steady fire.

The WIKING ME086 is a freestanding closed-combustion stove in black cast iron, from the body to the door and handle. One glass pane keeps the flames in view, while the riddling grate and ash tray help you keep a dry-wood or anthracite fire going right through a winter evening. Fit the flue at the top or the rear, whichever suits your room.

MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

A quiet corner for the fire.

Set the cast-iron stove on its hearth, let the glass face the room and settle in. On a cold winter night, a steady fire turns a quiet corner into the warmest seat in the house.

Hearth plate, flue, furniture and installation are not included. Have an accredited installer confirm the flue route, ventilation and clearances.

A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING

Keep the fire burning well.

THE FUEL

Wood or anthracite.

The ME086 is a multi-fuel stove: burn dry, seasoned wood or anthracite. Use the riddling grate to clear ash between loads and empty the ash tray often.

THE CONNECTION

Top or rear flue.

The 150 mm outlet connects at the top or the rear, so your installer can choose the route that suits your room and roof.

THE HEAT

9 kW nominal output.

Maximum output is 11 kW. Room size, insulation and ceiling height affect the warmth you feel.

GOOD TO KNOW

Plan your setup.

Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation.

Read the instruction manual

What is included?

The cast-iron ME086 stove with its glass loading door, riddling grate and ash tray. The flue kit, hearth and installation are not included. Flue kits are quoted to suit your building.

How much heat does it give?

Nominal output is 9 kW and maximum output is 11 kW. The Output Calculator uses 10 kW, the middle of the two. Room size, insulation and ceiling height affect the warmth you feel.

Which fuel can I use?

The ME086 is a multi-fuel stove for dry, seasoned wood or anthracite. Follow the instruction manual for loading and air settings. Do not burn household waste.

How much space does it take?

The body is 578 mm wide, 465 mm deep and 628 mm high to the cap. The short top spigot reaches 663.6 mm. The stove weighs 130 kg. These are product dimensions, not the full space needed for safe use.

Where does the flue connect?

The 150 mm outlet connects at the top or the rear. Flue kits are quoted to suit your building, with 1 m of 5 mm rope to seal the flue joint.

How much clear space is needed?

Follow the clearances in the instruction manual for combustible walls, furnishings and the ceiling, and stand the stove on a non-combustible hearth. Have an accredited installer confirm the layout and the floor support.

Does the room need ventilation?

Yes. The room needs a permanent supply of fresh air for the fire. Your installer sizes the vent for the stove. Do not fit an extractor fan in the same room.

Can I connect it to an existing chimney?

An accredited installer must check the chimney before connection. Do not connect it to a chimney that serves another appliance, and have the chimney swept first.

What should I do before the first fire?

Have the installation checked before use. Burn a few small fires first to cure the high-temperature paint; a mild smell is normal, so keep the room ventilated.

Can you help plan my setup?

Yes. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote. Arrange installation with an accredited installer.
