Build the fire on the fire grate, set the built-in damper and enjoy the flames through the glass shielding. The ash drops into its own drawer for an easy clean-up. The flue kit comes with it: a 3.6 m flue pipe in a 1.2 m and a 2.4 m length with a joining collar, an escutcheon plate, a slip-on cowl base and a rotating cowl top.
BACK FROM THE MOUNTAIN
Boots still on and mugs in hand, there is a seat by the fire for everyone. The eight-sided Alpine 800 stands free in the room, with glass around the flames, so the fire is the heart of the lounge while the afternoon light fades over the peaks.
The timber room, stone floor, furniture, rugs and décor are not included. Plan the hearth, flue height and clearances with an independent installer.
A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING
THE FIRE

THE FLUE
A 3.6 m flue pipe (a 1.2 m and a 2.4 m length) with a joining collar, an escutcheon plate, a slip-on cowl base and a rotating cowl top come with it. Need more height? Extra pipe and collars are options on this page.
THE HEAT
HomeFires gives a heating volume of 150 m³ for the Alpine 800. Send us your room size and we will check it with you before you order.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the hearth, flue and clearances together.
The fireplace is 965 mm high without its flue, and the 3.6 m flue pipe is a supplied length, not an installed height. Keep combustibles 1,000 mm away, and extend the hearth 350 mm in front and 200 mm at the sides.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation.
