Two faces, one fire.
Built into the wall.
The 800 is built into a wall with a face on each side, so one open fire shows in two spaces. Burn wood or anthracite on the fire grate, set the built-in damper and let the natural convection system spread the warmth. The standard unit is black mild steel, the ash drops into the ash drawer, and touch-up paint keeps the finish looking fresh.

The fire's already going.
Through the flames, the kitchen is busy: something on the go, fresh herbs on the counter and two friends chatting over it all. On the lounge side, the couch is ready for later. The 800 puts one fire between both spaces, so nobody misses out on the glow.
The brick wall, kitchen, furniture, rug and décor are not included. Plan the flue, the wall and the clearances with an independent installer.

THE HEAT
Natural convection, built in.
A natural convection system is built in. Homefires gives a heating volume of 180 m³ for the 800, so send us your room sizes and we will check them with you.
THE FLUE
Flue parts in the 300 × 400 size.
The outlet on top of the gather measures 395 × 305 mm. The flue parts on this page use the 300 × 400 nominal size: pipes in 1,200 mm and 2,400 mm lengths, collars and a rotating cowl.

The 755 mm body height does not include the 195 mm gather on top, or the flue. These are product sizes, not the masonry opening: leave a 20 mm expansion gap at the sides and back, and have your installer check the actual unit and safe clearances.

What is included?
The 800 double-sided built-in fireplace in black mild steel, with a fire grate, a grid, an ash drawer, a built-in damper system and a natural convection system. Insulation material, touch-up paint and a guarantee certificate come with it. The flue pipes, collars and rotating cowl are options, sold separately.
Is it open on both sides?
Yes. The 800 is a built-in, double-sided open fireplace, so the fire shows on both faces. It is vented, so it needs a flue. Plan the wall, the hearth and the clearances for both faces with an independent installer.
Which fuel does it burn?
Wood or anthracite, on the fire grate.
How much heat does it give?
Homefires gives a heating volume of 180 m³ for the 800 double-sided. We do not have a heat output rating for this model, so send us your room sizes and we will check them with you before you order.
Is the flue included?
No. The 300 × 400 flue pipes (1,200 mm and 2,400 mm lengths), collars and a rotating cowl with slip-on base are options that you choose on this page. Send a photo and measurements for a flue and configuration quote, and we will confirm the parts for your setup.
Where does the flue connect?
At the outlet on top of the gather, 395 × 305 mm. The gather rises 195 mm above the body, and the flue parts use the 300 × 400 nominal size. Homefires asks for a chimney at least 3.6 m high; your installer confirms the height for your roof.
How much space does it need?
The body is 920 mm wide, 595 mm deep and 755 mm high, and the gather rises 195 mm above it. The frame is 990 mm wide and 835 mm high. These are product sizes, not the masonry opening. Have your installer check the actual unit and safe clearances before building.
What clearances does it need?
Leave a 20 mm expansion gap between the sides and back of the body and the brickwork. Keep heat-sensitive materials at the sides 300 mm away, and keep a mantel at least 450 mm above the hot-air outlet. The manual has the full instructions.
What hearth does it need?
Extend the hearth at least 350 mm in front of the fireplace and at least 200 mm at the sides. Keep the metal flue at least 200 mm from wood trusses. Your independent installer confirms the details for your building.
Can I get it in stainless steel?
The standard unit is black mild steel. Bodies in 3CR12 or 304 stainless steel are special orders, not this standard model: ask us for a quote.
What does the guarantee cover?
A guarantee certificate comes with the fireplace. Ask us for Homefires' full guarantee terms before you order.
Can you help with my setup?
Yes. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote. We do not install, so arrange installation with an independent installer.
