WhatsApp UsMORE ABOUT THE HB
The HB is a full cast-iron, closed-combustion stove for dry wood. Load a few logs, close the door and watch the flames through the glass. Ash falls through the riddling grate into the pan below, ready to empty once it is cold. Your installer can take the flue off the top or the back, on a 125 mm nominal pipe.
CARD GAMES BY THE FIRE
Evenings stretch out when the stove is lit. Gran deals the cards, the kids argue over the rules, and the HB keeps a wood fire glowing behind the glass while the light outside fades. Nobody is in a hurry to go to bed.
The flue pipe is sold separately. The hearth plate, furniture, rug and décor are not included. Have an independent installer confirm the hearth, flue route and clearances.
A LITTLE PRACTICAL THINKING
THE FIRE
The HB is a closed-combustion stove: the fire burns behind the closed glass door. Burn dry wood, and empty the ash pan under the riddling grate once the ash is cold.
THE FLUE
Connect a 125 mm nominal flue pipe on top or at the rear. Add flue pipes, bends and a cowl as options on this page, or send us a photo and measurements for a flue quote.
THE ROOM
The manual asks for 1,000 mm between the stove and household furnishings, and recommends 800 mm from combustible walls. Leave 1,200 mm above it to a combustible ceiling.
MEASURE THE WHOLE SETUP
Plan the stove, the hearth and the flue together.
The HB stands 578 mm to its top casting and 614 mm to the top of the flue collar. These are product dimensions: have an independent installer check the hearth, the clearances and the floor for its 102 kg.
GOOD TO KNOW
Read your instruction manual before you plan the installation.

Dry wood. Keep your firewood dry, and ask us before you burn any other fuel in it.
Ask us before you order. We confirm the HB's heat output with Home Fires, and we help you match the stove to your room. Insulation, ceiling height and climate change how warm a room feels.
On top or at the rear, for a 125 mm nominal flue pipe. The manual's roof diagram shows the flue ending 1,500 mm above the roof where it passes through, and 600 mm above the ridge. Have an independent installer choose the outlet and plan the flue route, height and support.
No. Flue pipes, a cowl and the other flue parts are options on this page, because they depend on your room and roof. Send a photo and measurements for a product and flue configuration quote, and we will help you choose the right parts.
The stove is 510 mm wide at the top casting and 437.6 mm deep, and stands 578 mm to the top casting or 614 mm to the top of the flue collar. The manual asks for 1,000 mm to household furnishings, recommends 800 mm from combustible walls, and asks for 1,200 mm above it to a combustible ceiling.
The manual asks for a solid, non-combustible constructional hearth at least 125 mm thick, finishes included, that reaches 400 mm in front of the stove. Its floor-protector diagram, also on our drawing, shows edge extensions of 400 mm and 200 mm. Your installer confirms the hearth for your floor and room.
Yes, with permanent free air around it: 200 mm at the sides, 200 mm above and 150 mm behind, as the manual sets out. These gaps apply only in a recess. Where a firewall is needed, the manual asks for one at least 100 mm thick, usually brick, concrete or stone.
The glass measures 373 × 250 mm. Give us this size if you ever need a replacement pane.
The net weight is 102 kg. Plan how it will be moved into place, and have your installer check that the floor and the hearth can carry it.
Home Fires gives a three-year limited guarantee on the main stove body when you register it within 30 days; otherwise the cover is 12 months. It covers the first owner at the first installed location, needs professional installation, and excludes the glass, grate, firebricks, handles, seals, paint and other wear parts. The manual has the full terms.
